Today I'm sharing what's on my Winter Wish List! There's tons of affordable pieces and dupes for high end items. What's on your list?! I'd love to know. Happy shopping!

(Links in numbers)

One
I have wanted these boots for the longest time! They're all rubber, so super practical! Plus the color is just the perfect pink in my book. I love how they can just be wiped off, it makes them 100% stress free! You can also buy the cutest liner/socks to wear inside them then fold over the top here.

Two
I've been looking for a great pair of affordable chunky black sunglasses for the longest time! These are exactly what I've been looking for. I always try to have a few cheaper pairs on hand since sunglasses are something my husband and I are professionals at loosing haha. I only take out nice ones every once in a while when I know I wont misplace them. Black sunglasses look good on everyone and go with any outfit!

Three
I know what you're thinking.. this color is dangerous. Ha! I love creams and whites though. Since I already have a black down jacket, I want to branch out a little and add some "color" to my winter jackets. Creams look so pretty in the winter, they give off a dressy element that I just love.

Four
Everyone needs a good pair of dark wash jeans for the Winter! I chose these because I love how the wash is dark, but not too dark. It's also nearly impossible for me to choose denim without at least a little distressing. It's my thing! These are great for pairing with flats, or even thigh high boots. Pockets are also something I'm really picky about when it comes to denim. The back pockets have a slight angle to them, which I love!

Five
This style jacket has been really popular for a few years now. I've been on the fence about it, but this year I'm really into it! J. Crew has a very similar style jacket to this one you can check out here (it's 30% off right now!) but it's a lot more expensive. The big square cut pockets are super practical for easy access. Fur collars are also one of my favorite things on Winter jackets!

Six
FINALLY they come out with a water resistant pair haha. These are only like ten years too late ;) I grew up wearing this brand, and now that we're back in Michigan, I'm excited to get another pair. I know some people are over the Ugg thing, but to me they're just so nostalgic. These are one of the top things on my list, and right now they're 30% off!

Seven
I told you guys in a recent video how I'm really into vests this year. They are just so prefect for throwing on and heading out the door. I love the pattern on his one, and the price point is amazing! It's extremely similar to the J. Crew vests that are $120 and a little too thin for my liking.

Eight
Everyone needs a good pair of winter gloves! Mittens are always warmer, but I need to be able to move my fingers, grab on to things (you know the drill). I love that these are thin but still warm, touch screen friendly, and the zipper adds a great little detail!

Nine
Embellished jeans have never been crazy popular but I've always loved them! The pearls are such a pretty feminine detail, and definitely make me want to wear them in the winter with a chunky sweater! Looser denim like these are also one of my favorite things to wear with ankle booties!

Ten
Can you tell I have a thing for jackets this year?! They are just such a staple AND statement item if you live somewhere that gets cold like I do. This one is perfect for throwing on with jeans, a t shirt, and you have a really cute weekend look. The price point on this jacket is great, and I can't get over how much I love the print!

Eleven
I'll never get sick of leopard print in the Winter! It seems like it will never go out of style because even though it makes a statement, it's also a neutral print. You can also dress it up or down, so it's a win-win!

Twelve
A trend I'm seeing everywhere (that I love) is lace up detailing. This is such a fun and easy way to add a little something extra to your look! Gray is one of my favorite colors to wear because it looks amazing with pops of color (less harsh than black).

TAKE ME TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH

Saturday, October 15, 2016

| Sweater is H&M (similar here & here) | Skirt is actually a dress by Want & Need , available at Nordstrom Rack (similar here & here) | Boots are Aldo (similar here & here) | Hat is Pacsun (similar here & here) | Hair extensions I wear (use "ALEXANDRA5" for a discount) |

Is there anything cuter than a pumpkin patch in the Fall?! I love seasonal activities haha. Such a cute and fun thing to do. Lately I'ver been loving layering a loose & oversized sweater (I sized up 2 sizes to a large in this one) over a denim skirt. This "skirt" is actually a dress I wore last summer! This is a great way to make a few clothing pieces last a little longer.  The boots are also a staple item in my Fall and Winter wardrobe. I love how thigh highs lengthen my legs, and they are so versatile! Chad (my husband) ending up buying almost 100 apples this day! He's going to try home brewing hard apple cider. Wish him luck!

EVERY DAY FULL COVERAGE MAKEUP ROUTINE

Thursday, October 6, 2016

Today I'm sharing my "every day" full coverage makeup routine! Most of the products in this look are very affordable, so I knew I had to share! I say "every day" because this is my go to on days I want a full coverage daytime look, but this definitely doesn't happen every day haha. About 50% of the time I'm makeup free. But when I put makeup on, I like to go all out and have fun with it. I hope you enjoy &  get some good ideas!

Primer:
I use the Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm for Men. Yes, men! Haha. This product was buzzing around YouTube about 6 months ago for being an amazing foundation primer. I agree and can't let it go! For an amazing price you get a primer that will last you forever, isn't greasy, & keeps your makeup in place. It also contains witch hazel which is great for acne prone & oily skin. I am so in love with this "primer".

Foundation:
Loreal Pro Matte in 101 & 103 has been my go to for at least a few months. I wore it for my wedding! I mix these two shades about 50/50. 102 is just too pink! I wore it in a few videos back and just cringed the entire time I was editing it haha. The coverage is amazing and most of all it's build-able! Sometimes I just want a little coverage so I put on one thin layer. On full coverage days I'll do two layers. When layering, less really is more. It makes your foundation build coverage a lot quicker than if you did one thick layer. Plus it looks and feels SO much more natural!

Concealers:
I like to use two different concealers, both are by Maybelline! The first is the Instant Age Rewind in Brightener Illuminator. This has a slight salmon tone to it, medium covereage, with a little illumination. I put this on all of the high points of my face. On top of that I use the Dream Lumi in Ivory. This is verrrry illuminating, but has minimal coverage. That's why I layer! I love the look of these two together. I've repurchased both of these products more times than I can count.

Setting Powder:
To set my foundation & concealer I use the Perfect Finish HD translucent powder by Elf. Elf! This is SO good. I used to use the Makeup Forever HD translucent setting powder. Honestly, I like the Elf one so much more! I think this definitely shows that price and brand aren't everything. Sometimes the cheapest products really are best! I use this heavily to "bake" my under eye, and around my nose (where I get shiny). Then lightly everywhere else. It makes blending out powder products so much easier.

Blush, Bronzer, Highlight:
All I have to say is you need the Tarte Showstopper Palette. This is definitely the best palette I have ever owned. I use it everyday & always travel with it! Benefit's Hoola Bronzer was my go to daily bronzer for at least 3 years. Nothing compared until I tried this Tarte Palette. I believe the bronzer in this palette is Park Avenue Princess. I also use a decent amount of product, I'm sure you can tell I'm not one to wear just a little product haha. Everything is just so highly pigmented and so, so good. Even after at least 2 months of almost daily use the palette still looks new, and like barely product has been used. Love!

Bronzer:
The Milani Baked Bronzer in Warm Glow I apply on top of my contour. This is definitely one of the top bronzers from the drugstore. I've been purchasing it for years and still can't believe how good it is for the price. It gives you a glow (yes, just like the name ha) without being shimmery or sparkly.

Eyelid Color:
W.O.S. from the Naked Basics Palette I use on my entire lid. This color is called "Skimp" in the newest version of this palette. It gives me a really bright and awake look. I use "You're a Natural" from the Tarte Showstopper Palette in my crease. Most days, that's it!

Eyebrows:
Lately I've been loving the Nyx Brow Pencil in Taupe. I've also used the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe, and the colors are very similar. The Anastasia is a little softer and smoother. Because the Nyx is harder, I think it's more precise. I also recommend you fill in your brows a little lighter than their hair color. They will end up looking the same color but less harsh. Especially if your eyebrows are dark like mine, this is a life saver.

Eyeliner:
Loreal Infallible The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner is by far the best black liquid eyeliner from the drugstore that I've ever used. Again, I've repurchased this product more times than I can count. If you're having trouble with winged eyeliner, you need to try this! Just stick with it, and you will get it! Promise!

Mascara:
The Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara by Loreal is my jam. I have both the normal and water proof. It's been my go to for the longest time. It is extremely build-able! Since I wear false lashes so frequently, I feel naked without them, so I pack on the mascara. This product doesn't get clumpy & is very lengthening. Plus, it doesn't rub off on my brow bone throughout the day. So many mascaras do that on me and it's the most annoying thing. I apply this only on my top lashes. Bottom lashes I like to leave bare. You need to try it!

False Lashes:
I have two drugstore lashes that I love! The first are the #11 by Kiss. I'm wearing them in this look. I also love the Ardell Demi Wispies. Definitely buy the 4 packs, they're so much cheaper that way. I can even get 3-4 uses out of them. That's basically unheard of for drugstore lashes! To make them last this long theres a few things I do. First, I apply mascara only to my natural lashes. Some people also apply mascara to their falsies. I find I rarely need to do this as they always blend nicely with my natural lashes. I also use this to take off my makeup. When removing eye makeup, I only focus it on the band of the lash. It almost instantly dissolves the lash glue (I use the Duo Dark Tone). Since it dries black it blends in to my eyeliner. Love!

Lower Water Line:
The Nyx Wonder Pencil in light is a must for me. It helps to make my eyes look bright, wide awake, and a little larger than they are. My eyes are slightly smaller than I prefer. I also squint sometimes because I don't ever wear my glasses or contacts (I know, bad) so this product helps!

Lips:
Givenchy Rose Tafettas is soooo pretty. Yes, a splurge! Sometimes you have to live a little haha. I'm all about saving on some things and splurging on others. To top it off I wear Nyx Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee. Both of these are awesome on their own, but the butter gloss just adds so much moisture.

Finishing Powder:
I forget about this Makeup Revolution palette all the time! It is so good though, and has a great price point. It gives my skin a flawless finish and looks amazing in photos and video. I mix the two lightest colors and apply a small amount to the high points of my face. The bronze shade I'll use if I skip the Milani Baked Bronzer.

If you made it this far, thank you for reading today's post! I know it's a long one but I wanted to make sure to be as detailed as I could for you. I hope you enjoyed and found some new products to try out!
