SHIPT // On-Demand Grocery Delivery

Monday, April 3, 2017

In today's post I'm sharing an awesome dinner recipe provided by Shipt, a grocery delivery service that is available in many cities in the U.S. Their most recent launch is at Meijer stores in Grand Rapids, MI. Having Shipt available is really exciting because it saves me SO much time. I love that I can just enter all of my groceries into an app, and have them delivered right to my home. Before Shipt, I would have to choose between grocery shopping and the gym. Now I can just check that task off my list and I'm good to go!

I also had the opportunity to film their YouTube series, The Shipt Show, with my husband. We had so much fun! Chad made his favorite cheeseburgers, and I shared my go-to salad. They're both ahhhmazing, I know you guys will love them! Scroll down for the recipes and drool worthy photos. Then, watch our episode of the Shipt Show on their YouTube channel here.

You'll find tips throughout the post, and complete recipes at the end :)

Start by stripping the kale from the stems, and tear into bite size pieces. Then, add avocado (my absolute fave).
Add croutons to a plastic bag, or between layers of plastic wrap. My favorite are the Meijer brand garlic and butter flavor. Crush the croutons into very small pieces. This is what really makes the salad in my mind. I love having small pieces of crouton in every bite!
Tell me that doesn't look amazing already?!
Add caesar dressing, shaved parmesan, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix, and you're ready to go! Next up are the burgers and burger sauce...
This is SO good! It's like In- n-Out but better.  In a blender, combine all ingredients listed below. Blend until smooth. Done. Easy enough, right?
Form patties by hand, or by using a burger press like pictured above. Thin, 4 oz patties are best for this recipe. Chad likes to lay plastic wrap to keep things neat and easy. This way, you can remove your patty without it sticking. After patties are formed, season with smoked salt and pepper on both sides. Heat cast iron griddle or grill to medium-high heat.
Cook for two minutes, flip, then immediately add onions and American cheese. Cook for an additional two minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Spoon burger sauce on toasted buns, top with pickles and your double patties. How ahhhmazing does that look?!

I hope you enjoyed reading today's post! Make sure to check out Chad and I cooking these recipes on The Shipt Show here. If you're new, don't forget to take a look at my YouTube channel here. I share home decor videos, lifestyle, D.I.Y's, and more!
